		<description><![CDATA[&#8230;The cat comes to me for a pat and when I reach out to pat her, her little wet nose touches my hand and she gets a shock of static electricity. I feel really bad when that happens. My little Sophie is so trusting, she loves pats and she leans into them for all it&#8217;s worth when she get a pat. And the poor little thing gets rewarded with a zap! She&#8217;s not the only one. I was patting the other cat and as my hand moved down her back, I could hear the crackle and feel her skin twitch under my hand. This cold winter has been so dry that static has plagued my life lately. It seems that everything I touch is likely to either zap me or get zapped. I&#8217;m up to the point where I&#8217;m too scared  to touch metal door handles and the car. These two seem to be the worst. I&#8217;ve sprayed the carpet and my clothing with anti-static spray but it doesn&#8217;t seem to help any. I try to keep my hands moist with hand cream hoping that it will help with the static. The cold dry weather is also affecting my skin, the hand cream [...]]]></description>
