Author: Many of you know that my old cat is diabetic. At the moment, she is getting low on insulin. Very low. She has a day’s supply left. Two at the most. So today, we went to the vet to get some more.
We recently changed vets because since we moved house, I felt that she’s too old to travel the distance and a closer vet would stress her less. She’s nearly 15 years old and the focus is to make her as comfortable as possible.
When I first contacted the surgery, I asked them if they were comfortable taking her on as a patient and asked them if there were going to be any problems supplying her insulin. I was assured that it will be fine. Today, they refused to supply us with insulin for her.
I am livid!
I can’t believe they they have done this. Tomorrow we look for another vet and start all over.
