Winchester Cathedral – Exterior

Here are some photos of Winchester Cathedral. We left in the morning and travelled by car to a Park and Ride. These are fantastic. They are a commuter car park with facilities to pay for your bus ticket and from there, you catch the bus to your destination. They are much more economical than a train or going by car.

The buses are a treat too. They are bright and colourful and generally very clean and well maintained.

From the bus, we then walked to the Cathedral. We went through Abbey Gardens, which is a beautiful park and playground for children. The little waterway is very picturesque. We walked past some excavations at the Abbey and made our way through to the front of the Cathedral.
