All the photos have been scanned and they are safely backed up. The originals are on their way back to their owners. Many photos were damaged – bent, creased, torn and in some instances cut.
There were heaps of photos of my parents when they were young and lots of me and some of my brother. I’m the eldest and the novelty must have worn off as far as photos go by the time my brother came along. Also, a lot of the photos of me were studio photos or professional photos taken at home.
This is a photo of my parents. It’s my favourite photo out of all of them. I’ve estimated that they were 20 or 21 years old in this photo (circa 1955). I’ll ask my mum next time I talk to her. I am struck by how pretty mum is.
